Hey, thank you for being here!
I'm Marielle and I am a British photographer and actress based between London & New York City.
I spent my childhood living between the English countryside and the Middle East before moving to Australia in 2011. It was there that I bought my first camera and my love for creating images grew from the solo backpacking adventures that followed. After wandering Australia, Asia, Africa and Europe, I returned to the U.K. where I studied documentary filmmaking and began working as a live music photographer. I was lucky enough to work with a number of high profile musicians and spent the best part of two years on the road touring Europe and Australia (and somehow managed to get a degree at the same time thanks to frantic essay writing in the back of vans and buses!) Upon my return, I headed to France where I spent time volunteering in 'The Jungle' refugee camp in Calais. A few months later, I directed and produced a documentary film on the lives and journey's of some of the people calling the makeshift camp home. I am now based in New York City and predominantly shoot headshots for actors, musicians and other creatives, travel and live music photography.
Balancing photography work with auditions, acting jobs, personal documentary projects and all the other in between bits of life can be challenging but I wouldn't have my spontaneous, unpredictable, somewhat chaotic life any other way... A raging coffee addiction helps with the late night editing sessions, line learning and general functioning after sleeping in airports and on planes/trains/buses.
When I'm not playing on either side of the camera, I can usually be found hopping on a plane and escaping city life for a while. These itchy feet are definitely happiest when in the ocean or up a mountain.

My work is inspired by my love of story telling, art, nature, travel, film, music, humanitarian initiatives and meeting new people from different cultural backgrounds. I love collaborating with interesting artists, brands and charities.
Please get in contact to discuss potential collaborations, options & rates for your particular photographic needs or to enquire about prints.
If you are an actor seeking headshots, please specify in your message so I can send you a headshot specific information sheet.
